Our Latest Shipping Updates
We have lots of shipping updates for you all and we thought it would be best to house them in one place in case you don't check social media or your email often.
As you all may know, we received over 100 orders on Juneteenth alone due to an outpour of public support for Black-owned businesses! To say we were (are) thankful is an understatement. We never thought that one month into this business we'd experience such an overwhelming amount of support. To be honest, we were not prepared.
The influx of orders on top of limited availability of our supplies and safety precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (Tony and I both contracted the virus), our processing and shipping window grew wider to bring us to a 4 week time frame to get your orders to you.
We've gotten all but a few of the Juneteenth orders out and we are beginning to knock out those that were placed early July. We expect to be back to a normal 5-7 business day shipping window sometime in mid to late August.
We want to remind you of a few things and share a couple new updates as well:
- All of our products are handmade in small batches by the two of us. We have to purchase in small quantities because we are a small business startup, thus the need to make everything in small batches. We hope to make more at a time in the near future as business stabilizes and we are able to purchase more supplies. Juneteenth really kicked our butts!
- We no longer offer $10 flat rate shipping. Now that we have added new, non-candle products to our shop, we are able to remove the flat rate and offer more flexible shipping options to you.
- We are currently shipping via USPS. This is the most affordable option for both our company and our customers.
- If your item is delivered with damages, please contact us via email at email@example.com. Be sure to include a description of the damage along with photos and your order number. We will be happy to file a claim with USPS and ship a replacement within our stated shipping window.
